Some as-standard features are gone, some are new, and some of the optional features have been changed around, too.

As-standard equipment suffers from chip shortages, as the BMW X5’s wireless charging has been removed entirely. It used to be a standard feature on the X5 but now it’s not even an option. It’s not the biggest bummer, as wireless charging is slow and gets your phone’s temperature so hot it’s hard to touch, but BMW’s wireless AppleCar Play always paired so well with it, as there was never any need to plug your phone in. Now, you’ll have to for 2022 models.

As for optional packages, several packages will be removed from BMW’s option list. For instance, the convenience package is gone for the X5 xDrive40i. However, its four-zone climate control comes back with the climate control package, which also adds heated front and rear heated seats, and heated armrests. A few other options were removed, though, which can be frustrating for customers.

Colors and Interior Trim

  • Sparkling Brown Metallic and Dravit Grey Metallic have been added.

In terms of colors, the BMW X5 gains two new exterior colors but no interior trim changes. The two colors are nice ones and fit the X5’s handsome exterior well.

The most iconic SUV, 2022 Jeep Wrangler, is ready to offer a much better off-roading package than before. However, the forthcoming model will bounce into 2022 year without significant change in terms of exterior styling. For 2022, the manufacturer will make this model more attractive thanks to its comfortable interior, impressive decoration quality, and dynamic traction characteristics. On top of that, the new Mercedes-Benz GLA will deploy a three different engine options, which is a big plus. Generally, most of its rivals offer one or a maximum of two engine variants.

Like its predecessor, the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA will deploy the same engine. This model features three engine options. The first one that powers GLA 250 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 generating 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to the front (or all four) wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The next one is also a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4, but this time under the GLA 35 model’s hood. This engine is capable of producing 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The last engine powers the GLA 45 model and it delivers 382 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA will start at $36,230 for the base GLA 250 model. However, the more powerful Mercedes-AMG model, the GLA 35, starts at $47,550, while the GLA 45 cost $54,500. As for the release, we should expect this redesigned version to arrive at some point this year. Many believe that its debut will happen in the summertime.
